Our process begins with a phone or video consultation with either Laura or Chad. During this conversation, we take the time to learn about your child’s academic needs, strengths, and areas for growth, as well as any specific preferences or challenges. This consultation allows us to make a thoughtful tutor match—pairing your child with an educator whose expertise and approach align with their learning style.

The First Tutoring Session: Building a Strong Foundation

During the initial tutoring session, the assigned tutor will conduct a student inventory assessment to gain deeper insight into your child’s interests, strengths, and academic needs. The tutor may also review available diagnostic assessment data or administer additional assessments if necessary. This relationship-driven approach ensures that our tutors truly understand the students they work with, creating an environment where learning is personalized and effective.

At the conclusion of this session, families will receive a summary of the learning plan, including outlined goals, instructional strategies, and recommended activities to reinforce learning between sessions.

Ongoing Sessions: Tracking Progress and Ensuring Growth

In every subsequent session, our tutors use data-driven instruction tailored to your child’s evolving progress. At the end of each session, you will receive a detailed summary outlining:

• The topics and skills covered during the session.

• Any progress made toward the outlined goals.

• Specific activities or assignments for your child to complete before the next session.

We believe that transparency and collaboration are key to student success. If adjustments to the learning plan are needed, we engage in open discussions with families to ensure continued progress. Additionally, we periodically review progress toward goals and discuss opportunities to extend or modify tutoring plans to foster further growth and confidence.
