About Chesapeake Tutors

I founded Chesapeake Tutors in 2011 alongside my then-colleague and now husband, Chad Skeele. We saw firsthand the growing need for individualized academic support beyond what a traditional school setting could provide. With a shared passion for education, we built Chesapeake Tutors to offer personalized, one-on-one instruction that empowers students to reach their full potential.

Over the years, Chad’s career evolved, and he is now an administrator in a local public school system. As the demands of his role grew, I took the reins of Chesapeake Tutors, allowing me to fully dedicate myself to leading and expanding our services. However, Chad remains actively involved—handling many of the logistical aspects of the business, conducting initial consultations with families, and continuing to tutor when his schedule allows.

Education runs deep in my family. My grandfather was a teacher, my mother is still an educator in a local public school system, and I met Chad when we both began teaching. With over 15 years in education and a master’s degree in Instructional Leadership and Literacy, I remain committed to ensuring that every student receives the individualized attention they need to thrive.

Recently, our family made the Eastern Shore our home, where we are raising our two young children. With this move, I am excited to expand Chesapeake Tutors’ services to families in Stevensville, Chester, Wye Mills, Queenstown, Centreville, and surrounding areas. At the same time, we continue to proudly serve students in Annapolis, Severna Park, Arnold, and Davidsonville.

Chesapeake Tutors is more than just me—we are a team of highly qualified Maryland-certified teachers who undergo a rigorous screening process. Each tutor is not only a subject matter expert but also an experienced educator skilled in connecting with students and families. Chad or I personally consult with every family to assess their child’s needs and carefully match them with the right tutor to ensure a tailored and effective learning experience.

Our mission is simple: to provide the individualized attention and support every student deserves, helping them build confidence and achieve academic success in an ever-changing educational landscape.
